The team

Pleased to meet you

Hi! I am Marloes van de Wiel, the owner of Hotel Ryder. Hotel Ryder is a real dream coming true for me. After years of working as a General Manager in the hotel industry, I can't wait to bring to life a new hotel that is unique to Den Bosch. Together with my team, we will bring this concept to fruition. My goal is to create a place where everything is just right – a home where guests and colleagues get inspired and feel free.

Frequently asked questions

Where exactly are you located?

Hotel Ryder is located at Fort Isabella, which is located between Vught and Den Bosch. Within a 20-minute walk or an 8-minute bike ride, you are in the city center of 's-Hertogenbosch. Or just take a car or taxi and you'll be even faster. Furthermore, we are located in the middle of the greenery of the 'Bossche Broek,' Gement and Vughtse Heide. So lots of beautiful walking and cycling opportunities. Enjoy the Ryde!

Where can I park?

There is a large car park in front of the hotel, where you can park freely and you are within 20 steps of the hotel.
Navigate to Isabella Square 1, and turn right to the car park.

What time can we check in and out?

Our check-in time is from 3 p.m. But you are more than welcome to drop off your belongings earlier, settle down in our living or hit the road. If your room happens to be ready sooner, you check in early free of charge. Check-out is until 11 am, even then, of course, you are welcome to store your belongings with us and have another great day in our beautiful area.

Do you serve lunch and/or dinner?

We do not serve lunch and dinner, you can go to our neighbors in the food hall for that The Fort and restaurant With Isabelle. Or enjoy a restaurant within walking distance such as: 't Misverstant, De Garage, Buurt, Nobel and Daje. 't Misverstant, De Garage, Buurt, Nobel en Daje. Well we serve bossche bollen, delicious cakes, Illy coffee, fresh organic teas and you can come to us for an extensive drink with a snack board. Cheers!

Do you rent out bikes?

Yes! You can directly reserve your (electric) bikes and also see how many bikes are still available. Then we just need to hand over the keys on arrival, easy peasy.

Do you have a bicycle shed with charging facilities?

Yes yes, 50 meters away, there is our closed covered bicycle shed at Fort Isabella. This can only be accessed with a key card. Here we also have space for our guests' electric bikes. So feel free to bring your bike!

Do you have a meeting room?

Our social chamber is ideal for inspiring meetings! Our large table fits up to 10 people, and there is also a small break-out room, where you can put their belongings or sit separately at a round table for 4 people. Feel free to mail us for more info!

A national monument... so do you have air conditioning?

Yes! We spent over two years renovating our beautiful building as sustainably as possible. During this process we have insulated the entire building as much as possible, both outside walls, roof and between walls, and provided it with double glazing. We are also completely off gas and receive energy from the 6,000 solar panels onsite. In addition, our air conditioning/heating system is connected to the heat pump onsite. Nice and sustainable, huh?

Sustainability, what do you do about it?

For Hotel Ryder, sustainability is something that is naturally embedded in our work. We try to make the most sustainable choices in everything. For example, our Auping mattresses are 100% recyclable. If we work with large bottles of cosmetics, no plastic please. Our illy coffee pads are biodegradable. We pour filter water from the tap. Try to get everything to us with as little transport as possible. And make as much use of all the goodies that our region has to offer as possible, preferably organic. You want more? Please feel free!
